I had a hip replacement under Mr Jacob on 8th June 2023, exactly 4 months after I was seen in the OPD clinic. I was very pleased with the whole process. Dickens ward was excellent. I am back to walking a mile a day. Hilary Alder

I was struggling for many years with an arthritic hip. My day job as a carer was profoundly affected. I have had a hip replacement and I am very thankful to Mr Jacob for the marvelous recovery.

I am 82yrs old. I have had a hip and knee replacement under Mr Jacob. My hip was very painful and stopped me walking. After the hip replacement, I can walk a better without any discomfort. My knee also is much better and allows me to walk better. I am seeing Mr Jacob to have my other knee done. J Darby

I have had a right total hip replacement. I am pleased with treatment in the hospital. I am able to walk pain free for at least a mile. I am grateful to have had my hip replacement. I am able to do things like tying my shoe lace, putting my socks etc which I couldn't have done before. Andrea Stevens

I had a hip replacement under Mr Jacob in May 2023. Prior to the operation, last year I could barely do 2 miles. I joined Nuffield to do exercies. I was getting frustrated with my hip. After the hip replacement, I can walk properly up and down the stairs and yesterday I walked a mile easily. I was discharged within 24hours of my operation, although I felt I could have left the same day! Another positive news I was pre-poned in my operation which I am very delighted about. Lynda Clarke
